GAtlas:  A geographical search engine

New paradigms and techniques for sharing, indexing,
and searching over the internet and the www are the
backbone of the next generation of EC services, and
distributed information management tools. GAtlas is a
geographical search engine that focuses on the use
of the cartographic paradigm as the new concept for
sharing, indexing and searching information over the
internet. It indexes web documents based on the map
data found in web pages and supports spatial search.
