Title: Cloud Computing and Data Quality Services
    Abstract:

    Abstract: Cloud computing offers an exciting opportunity to bring on-demand applications to customers and is being used for delivering hosted services, such as Data Quality as a Service, Analytics as a Service, etc over the Internet. Today enterprises are designing applications which require massive amount of heterogeneous data cleansing, correlation and integration for deriving the insights for their businesses. In this talk, we will discuss the enterprise needs for data quality services which can be offered as transient services on cloud for data validation, enrichment and cleansing. We present a system that uses virtualized hardware and software for data quality services. We share actual experiences gained from building such a system. We will briefly discuss the architecture of cloud computing, MapReduce, and Hadoop.
